Speaker Biography - Bambi Parks
Bambi is a highly accomplished Licensed Certified Social Worker with over 16 years of dedicated experience. She is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and EMDR certified, currently training as a consultant under internationally renowned therapist Ann Beckley-Forest. Bambi specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults facing trauma, anxiety, relationship, and attachment issues, bringing a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her practice.
Bambi's extensive and diverse training equips her to handle a wide range of therapeutic needs. Her certifications and techniques include Advanced Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Art Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. She is also skilled in Theraplay, Circle of Security Parenting, Flash Technique, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Techniques, Gestalt Therapy, and DC: 0-5. Bambi holds a Telehealth Certificate with over 15 hours of specialized training and is proficient in Child-Parent Relational Therapy and evidence-based treatments for secondary trauma and burnout.
Her integrative, client-centered approach to therapy blends these evidence-based techniques to meet her clients' unique needs. Bambi believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, where clients feel truly seen and heard, creating a safe and supportive space for healing and personal growth.
Bambi earned both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work, along with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. From the beginning of her career, she has been deeply committed to treating traumatic experiences and continuously enhancing her skills through advanced training and education. Additionally, Bambi is a 2020 Leadership Graduate from the Association of Play Therapy, reflecting her dedication to professional development and leadership in her field.
Outside of her professional life, Bambi is an avid traveler who loves exploring new cultures and meeting new people. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and finds joy in reading, cooking, and caring for her beloved pets. Her insatiable curiosity and love for learning are evident in both her professional achievements and personal interests, making her a compassionate, dynamic, and effective therapist. Bambi’s well-rounded approach and extensive expertise make her a trusted and respected professional in the field of social work and therapy.
